Shooting manually in RAW
I just wasn't happy with how my pictures were turning out with the automatic camera settings so I crammed by brain with everything I could find to learn how to shoot manual and in RAW format. I'm still tweaking the proofing process but I think I am going to be pleased in the long run with how my photos turn out. Avery looks a lot like her mother in some of these shots... must be the pigtails!

Happy Halloween!
This was Avery's first "real" Halloween and she dressed up as a white tiger cub (aka, "CAHT"). We went to a parade then to a friend's house where there was a huge inflatable slide. We all had a blast! Then onto trick-or-treating of course, which Avery really enjoyed also. Ander was content to be held and ride in the stroller. Next year will be more fun for him I bet :) I took so many pictures and it was hard deciding which ones to post. What a great photo opp!

Presenting...Avery!
Just before leaving for a morning Starbucks run I decided to snap a few pictures of Avery. She stood still gazing off into the sky as I fired away... a natural model!

TA-DAAA! My new camera has arrived!
After much contemplation and hours of research I finally made a decision and am so pleased with my new toy. Of course both kids were napping when I had it all set up and ready to fire but luckily I didn't have to wait TOO long. Ander was the first to wake so here is my first picture with my new camera. What do you think?

Hello World!
Hello All!
I have created this blog to share my passion of photography with all of you. I will continue to update and share and I hope you enjoy! Now onto my very first post...
This is the photo that started it all... I just love my little boy's blue eyes and red hair!
This sweet moment was captured by my mother. I knew it was a keeper so I got to work editing it
until I thought it was perfect. I love the shadow. :)
I love how this one shows the excitement in my daughter's face. She was telling us, in her own "language,"
that she really wanted to go down to the dock...
Here she is sitting down as she insisted that she did NOT want to leave said dock! She really loved the lake!
And this one shows proud mama (ME! :)) and baby boy...
Thanks for letting me share ;) More coming soon!
