Mommy & Daughter Day

Yesterday while I was getting a mani/pedi I noticed a woman sitting next to me with her mother.  I wasn't trying to eavesdrop but they were sitting right next to me :)  Apparently she had picked her mom up from a nursing home and they were getting their nails done together.  It was so touching to see.  It made me think of my relationship with my own daughter and brought a tear to my eye...

This inspired me to have a mommy daughter day today.  Avery is transitioning from a baby to a beautiful little girl as the days fly by.  She is sweet, shy, funny, pretty and loves to dance.  She loves ranch, cheese, chips, guacamole and so much more.  She is part me, part Jay and totally our "Avery." She makes me smile  every single day.  Today I wanted to celebrate her simply because of the blessing she is and the light she has brought to my life.  And seeing her transformation makes me even more excited to continue to watch and get to know my sweet little boy, Ander.

So here are a couple of pictures to share from our day :)  First we went to Panera for yummy bagels and cream cheese.  We are both big BIG fans.

Then we went to play at one of her favorite stores, Pottery Barn Kids.  Toy dollhouses, baby dolls,
buggies, kitchens, dysons, OH MY!  She was in heaven and I didn't think I would be able to get her out of there.  Luckily a bribe of Baby Gap as the next stop worked like a charm ;)  This is outside of PBK...

At Baby Gap she tried on shoes and found a pair that matched her outfit perfectly AND were on sale.  Every woman's dream!

Last stop was our favorite park.  Her favorite at the moment is the "side"...

Thanks for letting me share our perfect day together!  I look forward to decades more :)
